finally after 4 months, i bought my first "CLEO" magazine of the year. partly because Christina Aguilera is on the cover. love her, love her voice even more. her latest album "back to basics" is just so good. songs like candy man, aint no other man and i got trouble is currently being replayed over and over again on my poddy!
anyway, i came across a page in the magazine recommending chill out places to hang about. one of them is "HEAT" located at level 2, Royal Plaza on Scotts. its smacked right in the town.
i had been there about a month ago? was waiting for work to start and decided to go check it out. it was in the early afternoons so thankfully, quite empty. or else i will feel inadequate with my jeans and long sleeved black v-necked shirt and my humongous devil meets prada bag which looks like a hermes bag. not bad.
after perching myself on the seat just next to the window giving me a great view of everything going on outside. ordered a cup of mango juice and took out my book to read. the waiter who attended to me was very discreet. waiting in the shadows after passing me the menu.

i like the ambience there. elegant and intimate. far away from the traffic and noise that you grow accustomed to when you are in town area. its very relaxing, and comfortable. left the place about 45 minutes later to go walk around before reporting to work. total bill came to $10. for the place and service, i think its worth it.
ah.. i'm living the high life.
